Katee Sackhoff at Starfest 2009

Katee portrayed the character of Kara Thrace, the re-imagined Starbuck, in Ron Moore's update of the TV series Battlestar Galactica. The re-envisioning of the character generated quite a bit of controversy both in the media and amongst the fans -- something Ms. Sackhoff didn't shy from.

In our interview, we talk with her about how it was natural for her to meet the controversy head on and the challenges of playing Kara Thrace. She also talks about how Michael Trucco's real life injury in a serious car accident changed the way she thought about her character and may have altered the ultimate fate of Starbuck.
