  • Yeah, sure. But what about keeping the spine angle through the swing? Hundreds of instructors shows this drill without explaining the importance of getting the tailbone closer to the target at impact. If not, you miss the descending blow direction. This is really bad info. Sorry.

  • Hi Zone of Golf. Thanks for your input. These little videos are meant to be quick tips and not detailed explanations. I certainly understand the importance of spine angle in the golf swing. While we are not the first to offer this tip, it does help many players at least understand the sensation of body rotation and a balanced finish that faces the target. Many tour players do a similar drill in the gym with a medicine ball. Good luck with your game!!!

  • And yes, I know, it's much about how flexible (and not) people are, but I think most people just don't get it before you show them how to do it correctly. Almost everybody can also work a bit on their bodies flex. I think this honestly, is the key for most hackers, slicers and Joe Duffers - get more fit or you will never play better golf!

Cheers & good luck with your teaching.

  • @DresserGolf Oki, thanks for reply. Since I've been struggling with similar misinformation before, it made me a little mad. I hope you can excuse me.

How about a 'follow up video' about this? Explaining the importance of the spine angle. I'm sure you'll do it. :)
