My mom never liked Alfred Hitchcock, due to stories told about his apparently twisted sense of humor (exhibited behind the scenes of some of his films).
Therefore, when this commercial first aired, she was not pleased to be reminded of him (I thought it was a Network plug for the show being replayed in repeats).
So when the Energizer Bunny emerged, instead of Hitchcock's silhouette, my mom "laughed her head off", and this became one of her favorite commercials.
