I've had several people ask about the differences in tone of the lead and rhythm channels after the mod so I threw this together to demonstrate it. I only had a few hours to work on it so it's not the tightest of recordings. I quad recorded the riff for each channel and panned 2 tracks left and 2 tracks right. Dry signal, no fx and nothing in the loop.

Chain: Schecter Omen Extreme 6 - Digitech Bad Monkey OD - Boss NS2 NR - Peavey 5150 II - Custom 4x12 - Shure SM57 - M-Audio DMP3 - M-Audio Delta 44 - Sony Acid Pro

  • wow first of all great video and great riffs! that tne is killer i have been looking into a vodoo mod for my 6505+ it sounds good as it is but i know it can sound even better! you said this was the delux mod? can they do this for the plus model i know its the same as the 5150II anyway your head sound great dude i think i will do the delux mod can they make it to my personal specs? im lookin for good low end response i want it to thump hard clear and brutal haha why not go for the plat mod?

  • @RedNBlacK951 Thanks for the kind words man. Yeah, they can mod it to fit your preferences. Just give Trace Davis a call and tell him what you're after. He will be honest and straight-forward with you. Great folks at Voodoo!! I'm actually looking to upgrade to the Plat. mod in the near future. Thanks again for the post.

  • Thing sounds killer

  • @flexkill1 Thanks.

  • Does the bad monkey help alot getting that crushing mid range?

  • @ChaserHUN Very little actually. I have it barely driving at all. I like the tone of the BM so I'll use it from time to time. I like the od808 a lot better though. It's tighter and doesn't suck the bottom end like the BM.

  • got any tabs?

  • @metalfan1212 no problem! your playing is great i enjoy all your videos but i noticed that the tone is rather marshall voiced in that it has the treble ''spike'' when the notes are plucked is that something i can chose not to have not that it sounds bad or anything just not for me i want a more full thicker type tone without that treble spike anyway again great stu do your thing bro

  • Cool riffs... pretty sure I heard some Arch Enemy in there too ;-)

  • @metalfan1212 how does this amp sound at bedroom volumes? great vid btw!!
