Today is the 8th of September and I have had Gizmo for almost a week (tomorrow will be one week). It is taking longer than I had hoped to bond with him but that is okay. I haven't taken him out and handled him like a lot of people suggested. To be honest, I don't like to be bitten :) Anyway I feel he will come around more as time goes by and he has already let me pet him more as you can see in this video and he is becoming familiar with me as each day passes. I look forward to the day when I can just pick him up and not worry about being bitten. I have to admit, I have been bitten a bunch of times and 99% of the bites don't really hurt, but that 1% that does really hurts! I am not trying to force myself on him and let him decide when things are cool. I don't have a tent which would be ideal for the bonding time so I just let him out and run around my room till he gets into something I don't want him in, like my empty wine bottle and the cork on top. Anyway, here is today's post. Hope you enjoy it. I have decided to document as much of the bonding process and I hope it helps others to see that it isn't an easy thing and you have to really be patient.

@Cx4Tx1MER I got Gizmo from someone on CL who didn't have the time for him anymore. They need LOTS of attention and Gizmo was no different. If you are thinking about getting one please for the sugar gliders sake do your homework. Ask people who own them or have owned one questions and let them help you after you get one. I would not get just one because they are VERY social animals and need attention all the time. Thank you for posting comments and liking my videos. TTFL, LOL...
