Formerly of Supertramp Roger Hodgson composed and wrote this song just as he has written most of the other hit songs that Supertramp played. Rick Davis got to keep the name Supertramp and Roger got to keep his songs and they agreed not to do each others songs.

Roger wrote so many of the hit songs we all know and love such as The Logical Song, Dreamer, Two of Us, Fools Overture, Quietest Moments, Lord Is it Mine, Give a Little Bit, Hide in Your Shell, School. These and many others Roger wrote the music and lyrics all himself. And that's why he can make them sound magical they are coming from his heart and soul.

Roger is on tour and shows are selling out - his tour schedule is on http://www.rogerhodgson.com An evening you will never forget.

  • 3 – The Supertramp songs that were composed by Roger Hodgson performed by their author (Roger Hodgson) on the other hand, are magical, unique! (I had the grace of experiencing that 3 times). Why is that so?

Because Roger Hodgson cannot be replaced. It’s not a matter of high-pitched voice, it’s a matter of Roger’s soul, which cannot be replaced – Roger’s soul is what makes all the difference.

    Best regards,

    Fernanda

1- If you want to listen to some Supertramp songs as The Logical Song, Dreamer, Breakfast in America, you should go to Roger Hodgson world tour. He is the composer/writer of those songs as well as cofounder of the band. He left the band in 1983, but he didn’t leave his songs or fans.

  • @ferlvs because you are a queen fan and the original was what you were used to. so the other version doesnt compare...but it isn't poor...go to a annie lennox fan base and they will say it is excellent. both roger hodgson concerts and supertramp concerts now sound different to when they played together...it isnt better or worse...just different. if we all had the same ear we would only need one singer and one song forever.

why is youtube full of idiots trying to tell others what is best.

  • @homerbuke PORQUE TE PRIVAS DE ESA BENDICION, QUE PENA , PIDO POR TI QUE TE ENCUENTRES, Q TE VAYA BIEN

  • @Rockhoe autotune my ass. After seeing your uploads I can understand your jealousy.

  • i would love to see Roger Hodgson's Songbook and see how many songs he wrote that were never published. Love your work Roger. Sir David

  • @Rockhoe are you kidding? you might be hearing the harmonies

  • I needed tae be in that audience and wake all them dead beats up! friggin hell I'd have all them grannies a twirlin! LOL Don't any of them know what standing ovations are? sheesh!

  • Definatly irreplacable with that beautiful, unique voice. I've watched his lovely interviews since leaving S. Tramp - what a wonderful, talented 'spirit' he is. Roger,

is S. Tramp, despite being solo now.

  • Rodger rocks !
