I was a 16 year old usher in a local 6 screen movie theater when this came out and my dad always hated Dangerfield from his days on Ed Sullivan and others, he thought he was obnoxious..seriously. He hated movie theaters but he loved golf. Finally, I convinced him to see Caddy Shack with me...Rodney made him laugh so goddamn hard, I thought I was going to need an ambulance. It was so great to hear him laugh and see with his own eyes, the brilliance that was Rodney Dangerfield.....
