A 50-pound hot-pink dress made of duct tape has Center Area High School graduate Sharon Dranko and her escort in the running for a $3,000 scholarship. Dranko and Joshua Humm, another recent Center Area grad, are finalists in the annual contest staged by Duck Products (which manufactures, among other things, duct tape) to select the best duct-tape prom outfits each year. Click play to learn how you can vote for Dranko and Humm.

  • Dear Captain Oats.

Sharon and Josh did their project entirely by themselves without cheating. The design is completely original and you need to get over your loss. A scholarship should be awarded for student work. What exactly did you do on your project? Maybe you should just move on and stop harassing the WINNERS. GROW up!

  • I don't like the dress it looks funny but i gotta say thaz kinda kewl
