RPM2Night 2001 Daytona 500 D Earnhardt pt 1

This was the RPM2Night show broadcast the night of the 2001 Daytona 500. Remember that this was the first race after ESPN lost their NASCAR rights to Fox & NBC. Because of losing those rights, NASCAR did not allow ESPN to use video tape on the RPM2Night show, reserving them for Fox's NASCAR show exclusively, which is why there are only still pictures of the crash.

Those are probably souvenir trailers, which are painted like the team haulers, but not as big. Still, it's a pretty wild coincidence for them to pass just as they're shooting the video.

1:36-2:22 was weird. First it showed Dale's Truck, then his 3 drivers truck Waltrip, Earnhardt Jr, and Park truck then the guy he crashed with Ken Schrader's truck

@kingmaddog2 No it's not, the Daytona 500 is a race, it is the first race of the season, which is 36 races. The 36 race season is a championship. One race in said 36 race season is not a championship.
