Is this safe to cast my penis?
-
hey how can i make mold of capital and brackets ...
-
What material did you end up using for this? I am making a similar part with threads that needs a fairly tight seal.
-
So how flat is the back side of the molded piece? Since its exposed the settling of the part material would determine its flatness..correct? This seems perfect for casting small stands, but the stands would only be as good as the flatness of their base.

is this mold very durable to withstand many epoxy resin casts?

The type of mold would be determined by the size and shape of your pattern.

The cast surface from a one piece mold would not be flat. Because of
volumetric shrinkage, the backside of the mold would be slightly concaved.
You could either machine the surface or do a two part mold to obtain a flat
surface.

The molds are durable as long as you use proper release procedures and don't beat it with a hammer.

I need to make bases for a game so basically 25 by 25 and 5mm in height max. Is this a good way to make molds for these bases? Is there a shop somewhere in Europe from where I can buy repro products?

@hellfoot17
We do not have a distributor in Europe at this time. You can contact our Corporate Office in Avon, Ohio (USA). You could use this method to make your mold for your prototype base, but it would depend on the material you would use for your base. We would not recommend Repro as it would probably be too brittle in thin sections.

Is this cheaper than using sillicone rubber?
77RZA 2 years ago
yes, but with silicone, you don't need to use release agents
