Isn't it obvious? He was trying to write a nice happy poem but his thoughts kept turning to the dark and dirty deeds, but when he squished the bug that was causing them, he ended up ruining the poetry.

ah he he I love it, it was funny when the poet was getting annoyed that his writting kept turning dark. Icky bug thing, well done.
