Ok with ban - but not blame

Yes, I still have the same positions on social issues. Yes, this incident still doesn't have any bearing on those. The forum corrected problems - GREAT! But there's still work to do and they really, really, don't want to be tossing around 'blame' to those who expose the problems. Especially when it happened while trying to show that another problem wasn't accurately represented.

Matt, I'm glad but also saddened that you were able to experience FIRST HAND what many, many people have experienced. Sadly, if you're an obscure Atheist, abysmal treatment isn't taken as serious as it is with more prominent Atheists. Only because you used your name did attitudes change (well until an apology from you was demanded lol smh) Theists aren't the biggest threats to Atheists...we are.

I've briefly looked over the forum and I'm going to be brutally honest with this, but screw that forum. Forums are notorious for trolls to begin with but damn, I really hated that place and felt that the forum was not some place that I would personally be best in. Perhaps one day, when I can afford to pay for a cheap VPS and a domain name, I'll start a forum community myself, but only if I can afford it.

I've been on the 'net a long time. Been on many forums. Never been on an atheist forum as a poster. I do know it is usually against the rules of all forums to make objections re specific bannings publicly on the forum itself. It's like a player in a sports game publicly yelling at a ref after a call... it usually gets the player ejected from the game. Similar thing. Dual accounts are also normally not allowed. I'm surprised Matt didn't realise those two problematic issues before hand.
