Encore: Etude Carl Czerny
Carl Czerny was born in 1791. He was an Austrian teacher, composer and pianist. He is remembered today for his many books of piano etudes. Czerny never married though he lived with a large household of cats. Czerny was the ultimate multi-tasker! He would entertain visitors while composing: three or more easels at hand, he worked on three pieces at once. While the ink dried on one easel, he would work on the next, not missing a single word of conversation! Unfortunately, his music waned in popularity and is rarely played in the concert hall today.

Sounds like a MIDI file to me. Mechanically precise with ritards that sound artificial. Why no video, just because of the drawing?
Is it possible to play Czerny this accurately? Sure. But this sure seems to lack any natural human rubato.

I had completely forgotten about Czerny, I heard him long ago when I read about piano technique, but then...I just forgot about him.... I shall listen more immediately.
