In the second installment in a series of reports on talk radio, CNN analyzes how powerful talk radio can be, as evidenced by the turnout at health care town halls and tea parties. Yet the argument is also made that Rush Limbaugh, despite a huge audience, is not that powerful.

  • That's right, I worked on GWBs 1st govenors race. Unlike yourself, mouth, I take action. Sometimes I take the wrong action & I learn from my mistakes. But I'm glad because it strengthened my conservative convictions & made me a better American, you rotten fuckin commie traitor. Keep following your commie heros & you won't be able to turn from your mistakes & you don't have sense or integrity enough to admit them.

  • Conservative radio does better cause it caters to people who have jobs.

  • @whoo689 Those of usb who are in the know, dumbass.

  • @MrHelldogger Who still uses the term "commie" in 2011??? Get over it. The Cold War ended 20 years ago! Where have you been?

  • and how scared is Cunt News Network of talk radio? clearly they're terrified.

  • @DarthBombshell Nope, just the voice of the GOP, and there is a difference. He says what we believe.

  • All Limbaugh and the idiot box listeners represents are sleaze, trash, con artist scums. Promoting THEMSELVES using this conservative word BS.

  • What an idiot. Wearing a cowboy hat indoors.

  • Yea, CNN. You only want people to be lemmings following you, right?

  • Pathetic. CNN trying to diminish the power /influence of conservative talk radio because nobody watches their own network anymore. That's all this little clip is.

  • I do, it's just hard to get.

I'm in the Detroit market, and 760 AM is pretty much all day conservative talk, and it's a flame thrower.

1310 AM, (which has Liberal talkers; Bill press, Stephanie miller, thom hartman, ed schultz, Ron Reagan) is pretty weak. I can only get it during day light hours.

I think if you put Liberals and Conservatives both on Flame throwers (I think) you'd see much closer ratings.

In fact Schultz kick Hannity's ass in some markets, even on weaker signals.
