Talking about NYT: GOP crossing over to vote for Dems -Many proclaimed republicans feel betrayed.and the media is counting on blind support. Not this time. Apparently the the GOP needs either McClain or Clinton to become president to protect the lies and deceit to continue without retribution. Well said... I just can't fathom McCain ever being elected, or even seriously being considered. In light of all the truth that has manifested itself, how can anyone in their right mind vote republican under these circumstances? I also think it's interesting the way corporate media is trying to glaze over these statements by McCain and instead dwell on irrelevancy.

My point exactly... Bush has been lying to America for two terms and everyone knows it now. McCain is also a republican, on record as being OK with us being in Irag for "100" years and justified it in this exact same speech. So what will the cost in American lives really be against a barrel of oil? Clinton will lose because she has to be more than the 1st woman in the White House. She will never get elected as Democratic candidate who is obviously now subscribing to the Republican Playbook.

As Americans we need to get over our need to have everything NOW. So often I tell my kids that nothing is worth having unless you have to wait for it. We are an immediate satisfaction nation. We don't want to wait to establish alternative energies. So what will be the next option when we have depleted our own supplies of oil after polluting our environment with drilling.

Presidents have very little to do with these cycles. They are caused primarily by the absurd fiat money system which creates an initial boom due to money/credit expansion followed by the inevitable bust when it is contracted. This centralized money monopoly is the only thing that can cause the entire nation (and often the world)to experience these cycles together.
