Wonderful store for anyone with a passion for music. I found some gems in the classical music department, those are always in pristine shape, as classical music lovers take good care of their records.
Very cool video, but the best of it all is hearing your lovely voice babe, major turn on. Love you! :D

Yeah........wow, could spends hours (not to mention lots of $ !!) in that store!! We have a few really nice record shops here in the STL area, but I don't think anything could quite compare with that! I used to like to go A to Z when I went vinyl or CD shopping.......it looks like that might take a couple of days to pull off there......thanks for this, heaven indeed!!!
Recordland=the Lotus Eaters....wow! Thanks, Doc! I have that Pink Faeries re-issue and dig it. I'm pretty sure there's a boot floating around with them and Hawkwind playing live together as a "supergroup". Am I right? You probably have it. Ha! Awesome video, man!

Both bands played the same bill may times, as did Twink. Surely something exists with them jamming together. I did hear a bootleg by a band calling themselves Pinkwind a few years ago at Recordland, but the sound/recording quality was horrid. Other than that, Magic Muscle were a decent band featuring former Hawkwind bassist Adrian Shaw, Simon House (of Hawkwind, Third Ear Band & High Tide), Twink (drums ex Fairies), Hugh Gower (guitarist for The Records), and Rod Goodway.

@200crates
The store opened in 1985, 2 blocks from their current location on 9th avenue SE. Pre-Recordland (late 70's/early-mid 80's) there were many other great used record stores here as well; The Sound Exchange, The Record Store, Hot Wax, to name a few. Hot Wax is still in the district of Kensington, but now sell a lot of what I call filler; Billy Joel, Loverboy, Donna Summer, Fleetwood Mac etc. We also have Melodia Records, which is mainly filler, reissues & indie.

Ok Doc, Come clean with us, This is really your basement where the vinyl treasures of Canada are stored. Amazing, I speak for all of us in the VInyl Community when I say, Oh My God, I am blown away. I would be seriously broke all the time.Thanks for the Awesome video. Does this store have a web site ? Thanks Again.

No website that I'm aware of...not yet anyways. His two sons have been asking him to do this for sometime, but we won't hold our breath. It would definitely mean hiring someone full-time to handle the online stuff....and that in itself is a huge responsibly with shipping, accurate grading, photographing etc. If something does get off the ground, I'll let you guys know :)
