Jack and Jen were on the run and hiding with the circus. Someone from the circus helped Jen fake her death and stage the funeral. That person was supposed to contact Jack or someone in Jennifer's family to let them know their plan, but I think the person was attacked by Peter or somthing happened to them. So nobody never knew until Jen told Jack. Of course he was shocked to see her alive.

@scottungar Yea, I remember this too, in 1998 I would have been in middle school. Wow that was a long time ago. LOL.
Matt Ashford and Melissa Reeves are the orginal and best Jack and Jennifer.
