This guitar is a late 1800's / early 1900's parlor guitar passed down to me from my Grandfather. History on it is a little sketchy whether or not it was his Grandfathers or his Aunts originally, but I feel honored to own it just the same. It was recently restored from an unusable state by Glen Nelson of Mockingbird Music Company in Berlin, MA.

  • very crisp, bright resonance . Is it nylon strung?

  • @NormanMac Indeed.. I think I was picking near the bridge to get a little more volume out of it.

  • Nice work. What kind of guitar is it? Is it a Lyon & Healey? And what strings are you using for such a small body guitar?

  • @caintapi I've been told it's most likely a "Bruno" Parolor guitar, *mabye* a martin, it's not labled. I am using nylon, I was told it was originally strung with yak gut.. lol, no joke.

  • excellent video, is there a tab available of the piece?

  • @lennyedwards62 Check out "Acoustic Truth" in a google search. It's Richard Saslow's Webpage. I think he is going to re-release this music quite soon.

  • @senorambo martin would have a stamp. but would be awesome if it was a martin. sounds great with the nylon

  • @senorambo Either way,it's a nice looking parlor guitar. Sounds good, too. I believe the yak gut strings,it's probably true. Great playing,by the way!

  • WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE PILL THAT WILL ALLOW ME TO PLAY LIKE THAT AND WHERE CAN I GET IT? GREAT GUITAR, TOO! THANKS!

  • @firbough Thanks!

  • Nice work!! Very relaxed! Good story with a happy ending for a great sounding guitar.
