Lipica - Lipizzan misery

The intention of the Association is to strive for the active protection and development of Lipica Stud farm as an outstanding national and world-famous cultural heritage site.

Video was taken in Stud Lipica (Slovenia)- Carriage Maraton - International Championship. First accident happend in year 2004, second accident happend in year 2005, third in year 2006 (not in this video). The person (Mitja Mahorcic) who is responsible for this is still working in Stut Lipica as householder. He is still bothering lipizzan horses in Stud.

how bloody tragic was that!!! think it was dead as it hit the water as other horse looked like it may have trampled on its head as they went down, as they were harnessed together, it was obviusley not stuggling. Stupid stupid people !!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr

There is no indication whether or not the horse died. Horses very often lie very still waiting to be freed from a tangle. This is obviously a very bad accident, but to call the drivers such names is horrible - I feel the problem lay with the design of the obstacle. It appeared the horse just didn't quite turn and miss the barrel, then the barrel was caught beneath the wheels. A barrel should not be used in a water obstacle.

Either it's the calmest horse in the world, or it's dead. I know the video was crappy quality, but you can see it wasn't even struggling as it was lying there...
