  • Don't call me fick cos i don't no about that kinda fing but Couldn't they fall over if it was very windy?!?

  • Not demonstrated in the video is that below the large platforms are deep hulls with heavy ballasts which are chained to the lake floor.

  • Wave power is another great source of energy that can be relied upon on-demand. This video was posted as part of a proposal to assist Toronto's deep-water cooling effort in which water from the depths of Lake Ontario is pumped inland and used to cool skyscrapers. At the moment, the water is pumped using electricity generated from traditional means. The proposal suggested, instead, that the water be pumped inland using wind energy.

  • thats kinda a fail idea?

  • Well large floating buoys (if large enough they are basically the same as solid anchored structure) can act as a resting mass for a wave generator.

  • Love these platforms.
