Rayogram Workshop 2009 Alex MacKenzie

Some of the (silent) results from the FLASHES OF LIGHT workshops that I hosted at the Cork Int Film Fest, Aurora Festival (Norwich), Leeds Film Fest, 7 Inch Cinema/VIVID (Birmingham), and Cube Cinema (Bristol). Participants were asked to bring small objects to place on the film as well as experiment with contact printing found footage16m film. This was followed by exposure, hand-processing, and screening on the hand-cranked 16mm projector I was touring with for better study of the results. Materials are presented here at regular speed (24 frames per second), but feel free to freeze frame etc. Thanks to everyone who participated (about 70 people in all) and all the amazing organizers who made this possible. - Alex MacKenzie
