I like to see whites and blacks (and other ethnic groups) marry and have children, I'm white though I don't like the term white, I think that there is too much diversity both in personality and character and in circumstance to lump so many people together...I'm against all injustice and I detest the confusion of our time, and do the best I can with my own limitations to deal with it. I like this medium, and the possibilities it opens up to get people exposed to one another and thinking.

I think what your referring to goes a lot deeper than than black and white. You see in the media today, white women are promoted as beauty and have been for years. So these black men who get a white woman are yearning for that Lexus (white woman) instead of the old dodge (black woman) that they have now.

This attitude of the white woman being the epitome of beauty does not pertain to the black race alone, it's like that in many other races as well.

Some black women who date outside of their race still have love for black men, but kept striking out because they were too dark. With that said; here's my issue. I would never suggest that black men stop having a preference for lighter, brighter-skinned, or white women. We as a black people sometimes reach for status as a way of being accepted or better than white folks. Who you date does not make you better it's the lives that you touch and the way you live your life that will make you a stand out. We all need to recognize that black is beautiful and to appreciate and be proud of who you are...TMOT keep spiting your knowledge I will never take offense or defense you tell it like it is.
