It is a common misconception that produce from your private garden or produce from local farms is safer (food safety wise) to consume than produce from commercial farms. Dr. Powell of Kansas State University, explains why this assumption is dangerous and what steps you can take to protect yourself from growing food-borne illness (poop) laden produce.

Thanks for watching and enjoy your clean(ed) produce!

  • Here in south west Nebraska I use wild gourd leaves to make a sun tea for my plants. Nothing eats a wild gourd leaf so this tea sprayed on your plants give great protection, Of course do not spray any more after plant starts flowering, Using no pesticides, I had hoppers by the dozens but no damage to crop.
