Here in south west Nebraska I use wild gourd leaves to make a sun tea for my plants. Nothing eats a wild gourd leaf so this tea sprayed on your plants give great protection, Of course do not spray any more after plant starts flowering, Using no pesticides, I had hoppers by the dozens but no damage to crop.
