Chincoteague Pony Project

I know I'm going to get reprimanded for this. Yes Misty DOES slip rounding a turn. I realize riding and especially cantering in the snow is a risk but Misty did really well and recovered without falling completely, and we went on a trail ride after and she was fine.

This is my new training project, Sea Mist. She is a 5 year old Chincoteague pony who's family bought her on pony penning day as a weanling. She's around 5 years old and /very/...spunky. This video is her first ride in 5 months. Besides some protest in the beginning of this video and a few bucks before we started filming she did well.

But apparently her big issues appear when she is in a ring..so we shall see once the ring thaws. She also jumped out of her 4ft pasture yesterday so I'm definitely thinking jumpers.

Also since she has such a nice stride and will move out when asked, i think she'd do really well in low level eventing, too. perhaps!

She is such a sweetheart on the ground, we're in love. Her owner has autism so me training her also counts as my Senior Project, which is a total bonus!

@snowpony7 thanks! although this is her being exceptionally good. her true behavioral habits show up in the ring. mostly bucking, balking, and charging.
