  • Episode 7 of 12 Steps To Recovery airs on Monday, November 8. Sneak preview is sunday at midnight. Check us out.

  • Yeah it seems like the woman wasn't the issue this time. She was talkative, but cute and sweet. She deserved better. And can we more on with the transphobia. Chantal was a she not a he.

  • @ninetakesten Thanks 4 the comment. There's no transphobia. Parrish has had his heart ripped out and now he's on a date with a woman who was born a man. To discover this would be extremely alarming to a heterosexual man. However, Parrish realized his words hurt Chantal, therefore he went to apologize, especially since she wasn't trying to deceive him. What % of heterosexual men would do that? Not many, so my message is that there is no need for violence. I understand this is a sensitive topic.

  • @12stepswebseries I did appreciate the non violent way he handled the situation. His ignorance still irks me though (I know, he's an average dude). It would have been nice to hear Parrish or his friend acknowledge that Chantal is a woman, even if she still has a penis. Thanks for your response.

  • @ninetakesten I hear you and respect what you're saying, however, the average heterosexual man will not refer to someone with a penis as a woman. Maybe after the surgery, but not before. That's just the reality of it.

  • @ninetakesten i dont think people should be labeled as ignorant for failing to believe chopping your penis off makes you a woman. in my opinion, Parrish' character was slightly unrealistic with the way he handled the situation. I am glad it wasn't violent, but the average male would have high-tailed it out of there. And no, that does not make the "average male" ignorant.

  • @Jerzeeloni Thanks for the comment. Just so you know, Parrish is based on a real person and this situation did happened. So it's not that his reaction was unrealistic. It just wasn't the typical reaction. That's what makes people so original, we do things differently. Stay tune for episode 7 in two hours.

  • Haha! "Once I graduated from Hampton..." I'm a southern Hampton girl who lives in the city...we don't talk that much...I think lmao! Love it!

  • ok. he sort of messed that one up....but lord girl, shut that mouth!! im an alabamian and talking is great but not when your date wants to tape your mouth shut and run off with the chicken you made for him lol

  • @ninetakesten I see your point as someone sympathetic to the trans experience and I definitely took notice of the fact that Chantal was referred to as still a man, which is not how I would have referred to her. But I still appreciated that this story modeled a realistic exchange between a straight man set up with someone he discovers is trans that ended civility and an attempt to be nice. @Jerzeeloni I think that some of the straight men I know would respond in similarly. People can be kind.

  • what's good with the scarf tho?

  • @caseymiami1 Well, it depends. ;)
