"Is it possible for the rose to say,'I will give my fragrance to the good people who smell me, but I will withhold it from the bad'? Or is it possible for the lamp to say, 'I will give my light to the good people in this room, but I will withhold it from the evil people'? Or can a tree say, 'I'll give my shade to the good people who rest under me, but will withhold it from the bad'? These are the images of what love is about." --Anthony De Mello, 1931-1987, Jesuit Priest

Unconditional love is "seeing" yourself in all of life's creations

Throwing off the centuries of Victorian Conditioning has been the "middle-class" nightmare as we emerge from the Industrial Age into Being as known by the Ancients. But all this happens naturally when the conditions are right.

How do you figure?
I'm not asking to be contradictory, but rather so I can truly understand what you mean.

yeah
acceptance reveals compassion
by withdrawing conditions
that are likely to hide connections
and all the possibilities to connect

wow...u really are me, i cant believe u made this when u did..,this is what i needed to hear me tell myself....this is real

'Let yourself be' - that's a winner. I loved that. Thank you, as naturally as the explanation you gave sounds, I needed to hear this.
This is something I really needed to hear, but the skeptic inside of me will always say "yeah you know this now, but still nothing will change". If I let myself just be and not try to change, won't I continue down the same unhappy path?

To be is to change.
