Talking Pumpkin - House at Haunted Hill - Halloween

Talking pumpkin Jack o'Lantern narrates the story of a Hollywood starlet and her murderous groom, whose previous wife sends threats from her own grave. Ghostly forms of the starlet and groom appear in the window, while the dead ex-wife appears outside. Visitors to this home haunt watch Part 1 of the haunt's show in this area, and then are directed to the vast side-yard cemetery for Part 2 of the story (not shown here; I will upload more later.) FYI: The people who produce this free-to-visit haunt are all Hollywood pros.

Wow! That is pretty cool. If I am not mistaken, the voice on that pumpkin is the same as that of the narrated intro to the movie Treasure Planet.

@jukingeo The voice of this Jack O'Lantern is done by Hollwood voice artist Corey Burton. I don't see his name on the cast list for Treasure Planet, but he really did a fantastic job on this project, didn't he?

By the way, I have more information about the animation of the pumpkin: It's done by Brian Walters at Legend FX Inc.

Yes, the voice over is great. And looking at IMDB, his name DOES appear on the list for Treasure Planet. However, he is listed as the character "Onus" and it is Tony Jay that was the narrator. It could be that I am mistaken in that the movie's intro and the actual narrator are NOT the same.  The intro stars with the main character (as a boy) reading from an animated book. The voice of the book is Burton. BTW, where did you get that clip from?

@jukingeo You're right, Corey Burton's name does appear on the IMDB Treasure Island cast list, with a photo no less! But seems like his name wasn't there at all when I checked IMDB and wrote that comment a year ago. I have never seen Treasure Planet, but you're making me want to rent it now.

Where did I get the clip from? I filmed it myself on a Casio Xlim (no tripod, obviously!) As a fan of the haunt, I had seen it several times and knew where to stand for the best view of the jack o' lantern.

@jukingeo Ok...changes again. Onus was the character with the many eyes and as I recall that character had a high pitch voice.  Burton voiced this character in the movie. Supposedly the 'narrator' was also the voice of the book. Soooo, I am wondering if this Tony Jay has also a voice like Burton/Frees OR the material I am right now reading is false. The comparison of the voice on the intro to Treasure Planet and your pumpkin display seems to be identical. Gonna watch the movie again

No that was Paul Frees. But I did some digging on some information in regards to Corey Burton and supposedly his voice is a near match to that of Paul Frees. He, in fact DID work with Disney.

I haven’t heard anything about the people who own this haunt selling any of their programs, sorry. Perhaps some viewers who know about animation software can comment on how to create something similar at a low cost. As I understand it, one way might be to use DAZ Mimic Pro in combination with DAZ Studio 3 to model a figure with movements matching speech and facial expressions.
