Just to test Art Tube MP V3. Don't expect to hear a neat, highly talented piece of music.

I used the "NEUTRAL" zone presets (instruments matched) recorded and rough mixed in Steinberg Cubase SX5

Equipment list:
- Acoustic Guitar, Takamine AN10
- Bass, G&L Tribute L-2500
- Cajon, Tycoon Percussion acrylic
- Microphone, Avantone CV-12
- Audio interface, Focusrite Saffire

  • @meedily : I never compared them in the same environment. To my ears, it's warmer than Rode NT2 with a comparable level of clarity. The tones are brighter and more natural than Neuman U87. But I believe U87 is the true killer in terms of impacts and thickness. I will vote the CV-12 for it's versatility.

  • Nice demo. :)

What do you think of the Avantone CV-12? Have you compared it to other vocal mics? Thanks.

  • @novanine9 : Yes, all sources went through the preamp, through my Focusrite Saffire.

  • That', actually, really good!

Did you use the Art preamp on everything?
