Pecha Kucha - Japanese for the sound of conversation - is a popular forum to communicate and share ideas. Also referred to as "twitter for the visually inclined", each presenter is allowed 20 images shown for 20 seconds each.
Capitol Pecha Kucha Night Volume 10, the featured event of Design Week DC, took place on Thursday, October 22nd at Boffi Studio in Georgetown. Organized and launched in DC in March 2007 by architect Rouzita Vahhabaghai and designer Bita Vahhabaghai, Capitol Pecha Kucha Night promotes creative people talking about creative things from artists and architects to musicians and entrepreneurs. The brainchild of Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, Klein Dytham architecture, Tokyo, began in 2003 and has since spread to over 250 cities across the world.
