This is indeed a poignant rendition. we cannot see the forest because of the trees, and the answers are never spoken. Our leaders will not tell us to curb our numbers, or we will oust them so instead we wage war to gain capital, and say the other human beings that we slaughter are the evil!

Peter Gabriel was thinking of the Welsh coal miners when he wrote this in the 1980s. A lot of jobs were lost when the mines were shut down.

There is a sign at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs hospital that plays this song.... its a very powerfu song...
