Sesame Street - Big Bird spells the word OVEL (LOVE)

Here is goofy Big Bird attempting to spell the word LOVE on the building of this "street" scene. Susan, however, comes along and helps him spell it correctly. Isn't it interesting that music is played throughout this clip? Except for the beginning of the show, music is never played during the street scenes. The idea to play music was dropped shortly after this episode.

Anyone noticed what a total goofball Big Bird used to be. He became less nerdy a few short years later. Here, he was almost as goofy as Barney the dinosour.

yeah i prefer big bird as the "father" figure of sesame street he eventually became more so than this...there are enough goofy (but lovable) characters on sesame street. I always feel a bit happier when I see or hear big bird since I grew up watching the 70's episodes. Really do. It's not as good now but glad the show is still around.

yeah i know. in this video, he kinda was like my autistic (i don't know if i spelled it right) friend who is a little goofy, but loveable (and a great singer and actor)
