@JESTER588 If they would've tryed with the grond to start then they probably would've still had trebuchets and a giant rock might be able to beat the grond. So that's why they didn't use it to start with just look at the seige towers.

If you look carefully, the orc that pronounces it GRONDA. His nose changes position when he starts to yell Grond(a). It happens at 0:50. The quality is bad, but you can still see it.

this is supposed to take place at night and with the volcano erupting to block out the daylight. It looks TOO FUCKING BRIGHT AND SHINY for a war zone. They put so much work into everything else it's like they looked at the last movie and said, "fuck it."
