Xenakis Stravinsky-like!

Your observation is correct. The entire work is 10:27. I decided not to make a part two for the las 30 seconds.

oh... Then I have to find it! Is it also in the Timpani Cds?

Yes, it's Vol. 1, the same CD with "Tracees". The CD is Timpani 1C1057. "Iannis Xenakis: Works for Large Orchestra"

Thank you a lot - by the way, does it say anywhere what the title means?

I'm sorry - I wasn't able to find that information. I know Xenakis's titles generally mean something specific, but I couldn't find this one - the CD booklet doesn't get into the title.

Ok, I found it, its French and it means fingerprints. I was wandering if it was very old type of an ancient Greek word, but I couldn't figure out any logic in it (I'm Greek). Thank you for helping

It's understandable you would think so. It seems that most of his titles are compound Greek words that means something descriptive about the piece. Thanks for the information about the title. I didn't know that.
