yes you can have hernias in the abdomen, look up 'incisional hernia' and 'umbilical hernia' on wikipedia for ones that actually manifest in the abdomen! now i've a question... at 0:02ish does the patient cough to produce the hernia out of the abdomen? there is no audio. and you can be pretty sure the patient is not awake for that operation!

So thats what a legit inguinal hernia looks like.
The groin region is tricky when it comes to odd pains from muscle strains, hernias, ligament issues, etc.
What does one specifically look for to identify a hernia? If there is no noticeable mass?
