is this an expensive sport to join? how do they accept people to be part of their crew? certainly amazing, when they had the singapore leg, i watched them race! =D

yes, sailing is an expensive sport in general, but big races like the america's cup or the volvo ocean race are very expensive (->x.000000000 €!)
to develop and test the new boats ist very expensive and then the whole transport an te reperate everything...
