  • Brilliant, rare scholar whose wisdom and insight enlighten all who seek the - often unwelcome and unpleasant - truth we need to know.

  • Ya it always hits descent people,, sorry to hear that, my condolnces reach him safe.

Well at least Dr. Zinn rescued his soul and retaliated in the opposite direction to combat the very system that indoctrinates the young, having been there, he would be the model change seeker.

Thanks Chomskyan for contributing to all those valuable and rare to find today lectures.

  • to borrow a line from Matt Taibbi...

the Military-Industrial Complex is like "a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money"

  • Oh on another note, the reason that it sold so many copies is Liberal Professors make it manditory reading for their class, not because people want to read it. I have to read it for my APUSH class.

  • A People's History of The United States is a terrible book, I try reading it and i fall asleep out of boredom. The book is a combination of Zinn's very skewed views and terrible history. The book should be renamed, "America through the eyes of a communist" Zinn....if the U.S. is so bad go live somewhere else.

  • @Chomskyan We have many stories in Islamic History and Ahlulbait(AS) that clearly explains that Allah (SWT)has accepted true repentance from those who specially have tried to make up for their ignorant(sinful)times, eras that whole generation were going through. Not only he forgives them he changes all their negatives to positive. My condolences to Dr. Zinn, may he continues his path to Allah(SWT) by expanding the umbrella of Justice under teachings of Ahlulbait (AS) and Islam.

  • @Pilot1Engineer Did Zinn have anything positive to say about the good American has done in the world. Is there any recognition that a free society will not do everything correct? That there will be atrocities and failures in a free society? That the alternative is individual control, loss of freedoms and lower standard of living?

  • Truth? Are you joking? To believe in what Zinn spews you would need a suspension of disbelief and a full order of ignorance, arrogance, and anti-American fervor.

  • R.I.P. Howard Zinn.

A People's History of the United States is a "Must Read"

  • John Perkins books should be read in addition to Dr. Zinn's. They both go hand and hand on how America and its leaders and now multi-national corporations have created the first empire in history without the American people even knowing what happened. If you want to know why most of the resource rich countries hate us, its not because they hate our freedom. You have to be an idiot to believe that.

  • lol dude, dont know what to say to this .

    fu :DD

  • hes just ultra "jew' about his 'jewness"
