I heard this song for the first time yesterday. Once the song finished I was in a trance. Tears fell my heart stopped. This is the sound of one's heart. I know I will be of old age listening to this song thinking of a person, place, and time. Classic music that is TIMELESS. Thank you Billie for this one. May your soul rest in peace.

Everyone is going to hate me for this, but I don't like Billie Holiday's voice. However, I do LOVE how she sings this song very tenderly and the arrangement is great. It seems that the singers in the other versions I've heard, like Bea Wain, just rush through it with no feeling.
