Army: Shooting Suspect Taken Off Ventilator

A U.S. Army spokesman says the man authorities say went on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood has been taken off a ventilator but still remains in intensive care at a military hospital. (Nov. 7)

You can tell how desperate someone's position is in an internet debate by how far back in history they have to reach for their arguments. So..."Dark Ages" tu quoque now? No Inquisitions or Witch Hunts for 4 centuries now...Islam however is still in it's "Dark Ages" after 1400 years.Islam historically spread only by violent jihad. The reason why you think this man's actions are because he "twisting" or "Warping" his religion is because you havent separated Muslims from Islam. no... but plenty of people who claimed to be Christians put on white robes and lynched people for being black. And marched starving and diseased Native Americans half way across a continent while half of them died. And captained slave ships. And even killed and condemned each other for having a different version of Christianity.

That statement is true now but not in other points of History... it was not too long ago that if a Jew commited a crime the would be harassed by the media (just b4 WWII there was growing antisemitism in the US)... or if a person was black... or if they were Japanese... or Russian... or female... or native American... or Protestant... or Catholic

not right now but throughout the dark ages the church was the primary source of government and authority and was the driving force behind the governments of Europe for centuries after. Again often this was a warped version of Christianity used for personal ends... but that's my point. Most all religions (Chrisitanity and Judaism included) have been warped at times by individuals to be used as a tool fr selfish ends

He was raised Christian and used a distorted version of it as a tool to manipulate people ... he might have even been mentally warped enough to actually believe his own propaganda. But that's kinda my point. Just like in the crusades a person used a twisted version of Christianity to suit their own means... same as Islam is being used by certain people now
