A U.S. Army spokesman says the man authorities say went on a shooting rampage at Fort Hood has been taken off a ventilator but still remains in intensive care at a military hospital. (Nov. 7)
@littleMChammered PTSD isnt a deployment disorder....it happens to anyone for any reason. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder...not Post Deployment Stress Disorder, it has nothing to do with deployment. The bad sh*t and terrible incidents that one can experience in seconds can cause a multitude of problems....your statement was pretty ignorant.
You can tell how desperate someone's position is in an internet debate by how far back in history they have to reach for their arguments. So..."Dark Ages" tu quoque now? No Inquisitions or Witch Hunts for 4 centuries now...Islam however is still in it's "Dark Ages" after 1400 years.Islam historically spread only by violent jihad. Since it's incept Islam's war against "Dar al Kufar" has only abated when "Dar Al Islam' was beaten back or too weak to prosecute it. Petro-Dollars renewed the Jihad.
I'm wonder why you think your comment are relevent in the face of Hasen's PowerPoint presentation...You did read it right? He defined the jihad, and the parameters of the jihad pefectly. The reason why you think this man's actions are because he "twisting" or "Warping" his religion is because you havent separated Muslims from Islam. There's a difference between Muslims and Islamists.
You said: Hitler used "a distorted version" of Christianity to manipulate people, thats patently false. Start there. Then to imply that jihadis use a "warped version" of Islam to explain their killing shows you havent even a passing aquaintence with Islamic religio-political idealogy-the Qu'ran-or the Sunna-There is nothing new about Islamic Jihad-its as old as Islam itself and to many Muslims(Including Mohammad) Jihad is "the 5th Pillar" of Islam-Read Mein Kampf and the Quran, Then talk to me.
Haha you're right I'm sorry I don't have the intellect for this, because I would need to drop my IQ significantly to understand arguments that ignore historical facts and don't understand the difference between actual religion and warped versions that people have used throughout history to attempt to explain away their atrocious behaviors.
By the way I'm a Christian. The difference between you and me is I am willing to recognize that anyone... claiming Chrisitianity or not. Is capable of evil
no... but plenty of people who claimed to be Christians put on white robes and lynched people for being black. And marched starving and diseased Native Americans half way across a continent while half of them died. And captained slave ships. And even killed and condemned each other for having a different version of Christianity.
The media just likes to have its "scare factor" to get ratings. That statement is true now but not in other points of History... it was not too long ago that if a Jew commited a crime the would be harassed by the media (just b4 WWII there was growing antisemitism in the US)... or if a person was black... or if they were Japanese... or Russian... or female... or native American... or Protestant... or Catholic
Because people like to have a "big bad" a "well at least im not like (blank)."
That's bullshit. There isnt a version of Christianity that promotes mass-murder...You're cracked in the head if you think bringing up the "Crusades" is gonna score points in This game. Dont reply to my comments any more, you dont have the intellect. for it.
not right now but throughout the dark ages the church was the primary source of government and authority and was the driving force behind the governments of Europe for centuries after. Again often this was a warped version of Christianity used for personal ends... but that's my point. Most all religions (Chrisitanity and Judaism included) have been warped at times by individuals to be used as a tool fr selfish ends
He was raised Christian and used a distorted version of it as a tool to manipulate people ... he might have even been mentally warped enough to actually believe his own propaganda. But that's kinda my point. Just like in the crusades a person used a twisted version of Christianity to suit their own means... same as Islam is being used by certain people now
