I don't think you can utilize 4GB of RAM on a 32-bit system. 32-bit architectures can only handle 3GB of RAM, and then ignore the rest. For 64-bit architectures, I don't know exactly how much RAM can be utilized. It could possibly be 64GB of RAM.
