My revolutionary tool just says "waiting for device...", what can I try?
Try all of the following, wait at lease 10 mins, reboot phone and computer, reinstall driver, turn on usb debugging, uninstall any program that would conflict like htc sync.

When I try to install the su zip file it says "Installation aborted", how do I fix this?
Make sure your selecting "choose zip from sdcard" then find the su file, dont select, "apply /sdcard/update.zip"

Can I undo / unroot this process?

What version software will this work with?
Only 2.3.3.

If you have 2.2 you can take the 2.3.4 ota then do the above, or find a stock 2.3.3 ruu and flash it in the bootloader.

Will my apps, contacts, pictures, etc be erased?
No.

Is this the newest root method?
Yes, and the only one.

It didn't work. I'm so getting bugged that I can't root this thing. I tried the htc unlock bootloader with no avail. I tried this and thought it worked until I checked and it's still 2.3.4 :(

@nat3mil it boots into fastboot but i wait for like 30 min before just giving up. it never turns s off. i did the downgrade tool to 2.3.3 before and it worked, so the issue i dont think has to do with sync software.
