The system is predicated on the average person's laziness. Most will never do the research to really get to the bottom of the issue. EDM is a racist as anything else humans have anything to do with. A very sneaky and passive racism that creates the conditions for people to say what you did. Ask some of your black friends how they feel. (if you have any)

@DougYfunnie You're missing the point. Anyone who just blindly accepts laptop Dj.'s are just partiers. Some of us are students of the culture who are impressed by creativity. Limitations force Dj.'s to truely innovate. No matter who they are, or how many tracks they can sync up, they will never get the respect of the true heads. For every door that technology opens, there is a creative/artistic door that closes. Convenience is what got us to where we are now (fucked). Folks need to wake up!

Treat him for what he is, the gateway for many into techno. Frankly, I will agree that he is highly overrated, but I still can enjoy what he does on an on night, but there are far better contemporary djs even among those spinning minimal techno and tech house.

I can't believe looking at other DEMF performances how many people rip into like jeff mills and claude young on the comment board but everyones in love with this guy, I fucking hate him he's so incredibly boring, 4 to the floor everytime and not fast or slow just right down the middle, it makes me sick how much love this guy gets compared to his afro-american contemporaries that run circles around him, i.e. claude young, jeff mills, carl craig, juan atkins, scan 7, octave one.
