This was when Jennifer came back and won the first of three grand slam titles. I really thought Seles was going to win this match but credit to Jennifer she is a better athlete than Seles. Seles lack of fitness really exposed in this match. The second half of Seles career the lack of fitness really held her back from winning more slams.

Monica's lack of fitness really hurt her by this time in her career she was so out of shape here. Jennifer was more fit and Seles ran out of gas.

Seles wasn't feeling the best in this match or during this entire Aussie open, from memory she was suffering from a virus or something like that, i just remember in one of her earlier matches one of the commentators mentioned that

@olaraay I totally agree. But if she had closed out the match in the second set, she wouldn't have needed that extra gas.
