VirtualDub won't accept mp4s from Youtube in Windows Vista (but works in Windows 7). Help!

Thanks. Very interesting. The only thing is you have to convert the video to avi or you get a giant file. I tried it with an mp4 and it worked fine. I need a free basic mp4 editor.
