yea Gasquet has a slightly better backhand but Federer has more variety and has a much better forehand

@andrewblastoff Something I noticed from Federer 2006: he's hitting the ball much deeper than he is now, even from defensive position. He's still an awesome shotmaker but he seems much more vulnerable on both sides.

06 was Fed's best year for sure, no sign of weakness, pouncing relentlessly with his forehand and backhand from corner to corner, that three finals on clay he lost to Nadal were really close (maybe except FO final), but Nadal already had a reputaton of a real monster of clay

He has a game which irritates federer like murray and nadal. Defensive- get everything back.
