Louis Jordan R&B Pioneer, From Reet Petite & Gone! part 2

Louis Jordan was a jump jazz musician and Godfather of rhythm & blues. This singer/sax man was hugely popular during the 1940's and an inspiration to a number of the legends of 1950's r&b. James Brown has cited watching soundies, early music videos that played between films in theaters, as an early influence. Here we present part two of performances culled from the film Reet Petite and Gone. Highlighted by the song & dance number Wham Sam. The other numbers are "I Know What Your Putting Down" which features the lovely, leggy lass who is sadly unidentified. The other number is "The Texas & Pacific".
