@ThomasIrvin Yes, it's funny how so many people assume that Marty is the lead guitarist or the one who plays all the interesting guitar parts when it's often the other way around and Peter played most of the solos in their early days. I think it's because Marty always had more charismatic stage presence and looked and acted like the lead guitarist.

Of course the director cuts to Marty when the solo starts, assuming that the more animated guitarist must be the one who plays the leads...

Thanks so much for posting this! No offense to Italians but what a lousy crowd.

My favourite band of all time.
But you probably know that by now.

I'll never forget the first time my deceased pal John and I saw The Godfathers in 87. He brought up all that as he pummeled me during their set. "MARKY, THOSE TWO GUYS ARE JUST LIKE YER MARTY AND PETER!!!!" +++PUNCH+++ ...right in the bicep. I'd go home black and blue after a night out to see a solid rockshow w/John! ...and...for the record ...EVERYBODY calls me Marky.

I don't wish to say both Mssrs Gibson and Koppes were the sole substances ...as they were not ...Marty and Kris are both brilliant players but they both got more of the limelight.

Thomas ...yep. Same dynamics during Kris Dollimore's stay in The Godfathers ...he was their Marty ...the two even *kinda* looked alike. Mike Gibson of the GFs and Peter ...EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMLY similar, playing wise, stature wise ...whole nine. Kris and Mike were peers but Kris was the pistol of that band as well.
