PART 1 The testimony of Anita MonCrief, a former employee of ACORN. I videotaped her presentation at the National Capital Tea Party Patriots [NCTPP] meeting on 2/8/2011. It is in three parts and reveals a former-believer's inside view of ACORN's manipulation of the 2008 presidential election through the use of voter fraud. It is a riveting and chilling explanation of the specific techniques used by ACORN and other organizations to control the outcome of the election to ensure Obama would be the winner.

BTW, you can't compare ACORN to the Bandidos, ACORN does not have a criminal history (contrary to what you may read) employees that did wrong (faked voter reg cards, embezzled monies) were fired. ACORN worked tirelessly (and were paid poorly) to improve living conditions for low & moderate income families and communities. Think about the ghetto where you live. Wouldn't you like an org with a national network (to work on similar issues across the country) to assist and and advocate there?

@searcher555 wrong. these are middle class people (and some low income folks that were tricked into getting bad loans) that had no capacity to speak to the banks or were ignored by them. Trained counselors at ACHOA handle the banks and renegotiate for the homeowner. As you said, these are gov. mandated programs, and organizations compete for contracts. ACHOA is successful with these contracts and continuously gets them. Would you prefer the government doing the counseling? What abt small gov?

@Smatherings That's like saying the Bandidos are great guys because the gather toys for kids a couple of times a year, and the rest of the time they run meth and heroin. As for helping people stay in their homes? No problem there as the programs that keep them in their homes that they couldn't afford in the first place were government mandated services. Acorn had nothing to do with it except get some more federal money for doing what the consumer can get by going to the mortgage co or bank.

huge criminal. huge. didn't even send in a resume, just brought my mugshots and rap sheet. hired on the spot.

@searcher555 Yeah. same old people that helped thousands of people modify their loans and keep their homes. what a horrible agency! oh my! goodness! middle class workers get to stay in their homes and therefore strengthen their communities. god damn. what was AHCOA thinking staying in business? i'm sure they were just in it for the starting salary of 27,500. getting fat of the government. rolling deep.
Smatherings 5 months ago
@Smatherings - AHCOA even uses the same federal tax ID number that ACORN had, so where is the new versus the old? Same old stuff, same old people, and a screw job for the tax payer. I wonder what your criminal background is.

@Smatherings were you a criminal before you went to work there?

@Smatherings Affordable Housing Centers of America, formerly known as ACORN Housing. You get it right
BarryDead 5 months ago
@BarryDead Thank god. Affordable Housing Centers of America works with people to remodify their loans and keep their homes. Is that a BAD THING? NOOOO... you have believed all the lies about ACORN. AHCOA is not affiliated with ACORN anymore. Shit a National ACORN network doesn't even exist anymore (former acorn offices re-named and re-organized because THERE IS A NEED FOR THEM IN THESE COMMUNITIES). And even when they were affiliated it was more just shared office space. Get it right.

Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) gave ACORN another $461,086 in January. The funds were earmarked for ACORN Housing Corp. in January under HUD’s Self-help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP), according to the government website USAspending.gov.
In order words, the Obama administration gave fraud-ridden ACORN nearly a half million dollars to be used on housing development.
