I have used it directly on my legs to give a tiny bit of color for a spring wedding I was attending. My legs looked fake---like mannequin legs. The product was a good one as far as what it was designed to do, but I decided never to use it again because it made my skin look so unreal. I am anxious to try this again using your method. I think it would make the coverage more sheer and maintain the healthy appearance of real skin.

Thank you for the product tip!!:) I have used similar products, I used to work in a hair and beauty/spa salon years ago and when they would do this for a client they would actually use a scrub on the legs before using the self tanning cream or whatever which made the legs look even better, so if I may suggest, try a scrub on your legs in the shower prior to using this, it works wonders too!!:)

@texanbritt That is a great tip. I always exfoliate before I self tan, but not before this. I bet it would look even better. Great idea. Since you worked in a salon, be sure and pass all your tips on to us! I'm a complete novice!!!
