This is such a lovely tune it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! I just love O'Carolan his tunes fall so beautifully on the Banjo. I'm told that Si Bheag means small hill and Si Mhor means large hill. The story goes that there was a battle between the Fairies who occupied the large and small hills and that after much bloodshed a truce was called to unite them against a common enemy - an invasion by another clan of Fairies. This was O'Carolans' first tune that he composed at the age of 21 (makes it about 1691/2). Hope you like it.

    I love it! From Japan

  • Beautiful on the banjo. Love it. Would you have the tablature available? Thanks for sharing. Gwen

  • Beautiful and inspiring . Thank you for sharing this. I am just learning how to play banjo (having won it in a raffle at our local bluegrass festival) . This song makes me want to practice more obsessively than I already do with my mandolin.

  • Ron My favorite O'Carolan piece along with Lord Inchiquin. I am novice Banjo player & would love to learn these pieces. Could you let me have Tabliture or know where I could get it for these pieces.

    Keep up the good work
