Award-winning Casanayan is a rural community located in Pilar, Capiz, Philippines. During the very 1st national Green Revolution Contest, it was judged as the 3rd best rural community in the whole Philippines. It also won 1st place in the province of Capiz, ist place in Western Visayas, and 1st place in the Visayas Region.

The Bance Family are musicians and they play musical instruments anywhere when called..they do jamming at their residence when they have visitors..residence are so hospitable and friendly..

Brgy. Casanayan is a beautiful place with plentiful of sea foods...giant Lema fruit tree could be found in that area that grows a century old..Lema fruits serves as their alternative food during famine and as food to guerrilla soldiers during World War 2...covered with coconut trees where giant bats live..their roads are paved with nice shells and you can see some natives playing binggo, madjong and tong-its during afternoon...nice beach stretching up to Dayhagan..

the only harsh thing is their water system that is poorly supervised in spite's of nice water source..affected by politics..to mention good people, Engr. Noel Bance, Bons Magallanes, Frank Jimenez, Boy Bermejo, Marie Poblador, Tyo Taking Bance, Tyo Celso Buenvenida, Edgar Jimenez, Eric Voluntarioso, Lontoy Vega, Tyo Pedring Blancaver, Engr. Genie Apolinario and his family, teh Patricio Family...etc...
